I miss my little car so much.
Almost four months, still awaiting final fix.
Take warning: small cars and floods don’t mix.
Insurance companies like to delay,
Hoping you’ll go away, but I’m persistent;
Resistant to their strategy.
This catastrophe won’t be the end of me.
I will get my car back, fully fixed,
Safe and sound, or I’ll hound them through the courts
Until they do what they ought to have done.
They hold too much power, owned by the banks,
They blank my protests, refuse to answer.
Unaccountable tyrants with budgets to meet
Make me angry but I won’t consider defeat.
I’ll win in the end as I won’t budge.
