Welsh Love

Love born on sunny days
With swallow’s wings
Flitting in summer skies,
Is a love that belies
The realities of life
Where fragility
Cannot last,
Is only good when
Winter has passed.

Love born in sweet
Welsh rain
Will not wash away
When troubles play,
But will gently
Appease your fears,
Calm your mind
And sooth your soul,
For this love binds,
With arms long enough
To hold you close,
To find delight
Through wrong or right,
Through good times or bad,
Whatever the season
This love flowers and grows
And can only deepen.

Enjoy this,
Your special day,
Making your vows
To have and to hold
From vigour of youth
Until you grow old,
Look out for each other,
Take time to just be
For time is a thief,
The enemy,
Of spending time
In love’s company.
In years to come
You’ll remember today,
A beautiful bride
And her husband to be
Pledging love and unity.

Cerys and Ryan:
A wise old lady said to me
Que sera sera
What will be will be –
You are not yet
Who you may become,
Two will be stronger
Than ever one can
Your love will strengthen
From this day on,
Summer swallows may fly away
But the love between you
Is here to stay.
